Show Boat sails again.

Smithfield, NC:

October 1, 2005
Last night the Ava Gardner Museum held a gala opening for its new exhibit of original costumes and props from the 1951 movie "Show Boat". The items in the exhibit are on loan from the Debbie Reynolds Collection, and they have never been shown in public before.
The Ava Gardner Museum, located in her hometown of Smithfield, NC, contains a wonderful collection of photos, costumes, paintings, and other memorabilia from Ava's film career, along with a great deal of information about her personal and professional life.
The "Show Boat" exhibit will be open to the public until next summer. If you love great movies and want to take a peek behind the scenes, you won't want to miss the Ava Gardner Museum and its new "Show Boat" exhibit.
Smithfield is located on Interstate 95 not too far from Raleigh, NC.
